What it covers

  • National missing-person registers where the authority publishes one.
  • Unidentified-person and unidentified-remains records.
  • Photographs only where the publishing authority shows them itself.
  • The date of each record, because a missing-person entry that is years old means something different from a new one.

Whose records these are

Each of these bodies publishes its own records. The association reads what they publish; none of them is a partner and none has endorsed this service.

What this will not do

  • Nothing behind a login, a paywall or an access control. If reaching it means defeating something, it is not searched.
  • No leaked or breached data, and nothing bought from a broker who will not say where it came from.
  • A record found is a record in that register. It is not a finding about the person, and it is never a conviction.
  • An empty result is not evidence that no record exists — only that the sources listed did not answer with one.

Coverage here is thinner than anywhere else, and that is a fact about the world rather than about this search: most countries publish no missing-person register at all.
